KARACHI: The Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) and its Executive Committee have nominated prominent industrialist and business leader SM Tanveer as its candidate for the presidency of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for the 2026-28 term.
Tanveer, who serves as Patron-in-Chief of both KATI and the United Business Group (UBG), has received the backing of the KATI leadership for the top position of the country’s apex business body.
According to a statement issued by KATI on Monday, the association expressed confidence that Tanveer’s election would provide Pakistan’s industrial and business community with leadership capable of effectively highlighting their concerns and working towards their resolution.
KATI leadership said his nomination reflected its commitment to strengthening representation of the business community and addressing key challenges confronting industry and trade.
